Judy Conti
Judy Conti is an advocate to her very core. A seasoned government affairs practitioner, an attorney, and a substantive expert in workers’ rights, civil rights, progressive domestic economic policy, and pro-democracy policy, Judy has spent her entire career fighting for and with her clients and workers across the country.
Judy believes in and fights for the dignity, agency, and power of all people. She believes that those who are closest to the problems in our world are the ones who also know best about the proper solutions, so all her work is informed by their wisdom and needs. Judy knows that strong federal, state, and government agencies are agents of good in this world, and necessary to offset the corruptive forces of greed and unchecked power.
She has a proven track record of building strong working relationships not just with like-minded organizations and people, but also across lines of difference and believes strongly in the concept of strategic compromise to achieve mutually desired goals. When Judy takes on a client or a cause, she is determined and relentless in her advocacy.
A graduate of Williams College and William and Mary Law School, Judy is the co-founder and Executive Director of the DC Employment Justice Center, and for eighteen years, was the Government Affairs Director at the National Employment Law Project where she lobbied Congress, various Administrations, Executive and Independent Agencies, and oversaw NELP’s state and local government affairs work.
She has been widely featured in the media, has received recognition from Workplace Fairness, The American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section, D.C. Jobs With Justice, and has been named by The Washingtonian as one of D.C.’s Most Influential People of 2023, 2024, and 2025.
